Every parent uses their own methods to teach their children responsibility, right and wrong, and consequences for actions.
One method we use for Bekah is time-out / standing in the corner. Often this is a light punishment geared towards stopping and resetting. We have her count to “20″ while standing in the corner. It usually involves “1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 20″ and then a peak to see if we are looking.
Sometimes she says every number and counts all the way to “30″.
Well, after our session this evening, Bekah counted through it and was done.
Rachael apparently saw her and followed by voluntarily standing in the corner and saying “dah, dah, dah” and then peeking to see if we were watching.
It was quite funny. Which led to a laugh. Which led her to repeating herself.
