"Minzkala"

The Digva'ja, red-faced warlords, have determined to take control the world of Gael. They have enslaved, murdered, and destroyed whole villages. In an attempt to escape this evil, the people of Gael have left their homes, seeking a new life on another continent. They will not go without aid, for far away, from the world of Celestra, a great and mighty force has seen their suffering and has come to help. This force, known as the Ancients, will open its city gates to give the fighting men and women of Gael special skills and equipment and above all, hope. Those chosen form an elite band of warriors for the Ancients, and will fight to rid the lands of Gael from the control of the Legion and to secure the well-being of future generations. Among them, a team of four brothers from the Forest Elf city of Jalathiel. The bond grows when Kal and his brothers meet members of the other races in Gael to unite as one solid driving force against the Legion. Minzkala combines a wealth of writing perspectives. Fantasy, brotherhood in battle, faith, endearing relationships and classic gaming concepts all server to tell the age-old-tale of good verses evil.

World of Warcraft Tier 10 Armor Sets

A sneak peek has been released of the new Tier 10 Armor Sets for World of Warcraft.  Hopefully soon I'll be able to see the priest set.  But Warriors, Druids, and Death Knights have a step up on the rest of us.

I sometimes feel that the armor sets from vanilla WoW look better than they do now. As if they are running out of ideas. But as I look through, there are some neat aspects to the sets. The new druid set looks cool to me.

Let see some clothy's soon please.

Marvel Digital Comics

Marvel has been busy digitizing their library. You have to pay for a subscription for access. $10 per month or $60.00 a year.  I don't know if I'll be a subscriber because I don't love comics enough. I guess.

But I will probably read through a few of these free samples.

Disney bought Marvel!

I was just reading up on some news about Walk Disney Co. acquiring Marvel Comics, Inc. for the amount of 4 BILLION DOLLARS. That's a lot of money.

That means if the average person saved his money, didn't pay his bills, didn't eat or buy clothes - didn't speand ANY of his money...

...he could also buy Marvel in 114,285 years.

4,000,000,000 / 35,000 (~US National Average) = 114,285.71

If every person living in the United States contributed $13 each, then we could buy Marvel.

4,000,000,000 / 306,557,000 (~Estimated US Population) = 13.048

Either way. One concern that may come to mind is the mix of Marvel and Disney. Could this be the end of Marvel as we know it? Will Disney "kiddify" what has been happening with the Marvel characters over the last few years in the theaters. I think not.

Disney seems to be very business-savvy. I don't think they would break what is working right after they buy it. They seem to have done a good job with ABC since acquiring it.

This probably has something to do with the audience that Disney primarily shoots for... and who they want to reach. They have the girl demographic. But I think the boys feel a little left out... unless they really like princess movies.

I feel this is the main reason for the acquisition. To add more content for the boys watching Disney.

EDIT:  I found this quote...

"We believe that adding Marvel to Disney's unique portfolio of brands provides significant opportunities for long-term growth and value creation. The acquisition of Marvel offers us a similar opportunity to advance our strategy and to build a business that is stronger than the sum of it's parts. [These shows are] right in the wheelhouse for boys."

WoW – Druid Makeovers

Tauren Bear Form

Night Elf Bear Form

Night Elf Bear Form

Blizzard is releasing new content for the Druids in World of Warcraft. Now there will be a little bit of diversity among the shapeshifting classes. Taurens and Night Elves have several options for their design in bear and cat form.

I'm not sure if it is determined by a trip to the barber or by the color of the character's original skin color, but I think it's great either way.

Bekah decided to draw today. We were having a good time. But the moment that I look away is the moment that she became the most creative.

I look up and she says "oh wow" and points to her legs. :)

We're still working on what to draw on and what NOT to draw on.

Early Warcraft World

Early World of Warcraft

Early World of Warcraft

I was looking through photos of the new Northrend continent. Then I found this map on my computer.

It's neat to look at this early map of the Warcraft world... and then looking at what it looks like now.

The thing that interests me the most on this map is the Undermine goblin homeland in the south sea. Maybe they'll add that as another expansion? Maybe a playable Goblin character? Maybe one day...
