Oblivion

Oblivion Game Cover
Official Description: Oblivion is a single-player game that takes place in Tamriel’s capital province, Cyrodiil. You are given the task of finding the hidden heir to a throne that sits empty, the previous emperor having been killed by an unknown assassin. With no true Emperor, the gates to Oblivion (the equivalent of hell in the world of Tamriel) open, and demons begin to invade Cyrodiil and attack its people and towns. It’s up to you to find the lost heir to the throne and unravel the sinister plot that threatens to destroy all of Tamriel.

Thoughts: So far it has kept my attention. That’s the first important analysis. I’m playing the game a few years past it’s release, so other games have progressed further graphically. But these graphics are not bad at all. I’m enjoying the game.

Oblivion – First days

So far this game feels very intense. Mostly because of the “don’t know what’s around the next corner” feel I have… and the fact that I’m not great at defending myself yet when something DOES come out around the corner. Even the rats are scaring me a little.

So far the game-play is ok. The graphics of NPC’s when they talk to me is a little weird. But I can get past that.

At this point, I’ve followed the Emperor and I’m now out of the sewers.
Just exploring around the outside of the city.

Oblivion Character

I’ve finally found the time to start up Oblivion on the Xbox. I played Morrowind on the PC and have been anticipating playing through the next chapter with Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.

I started up a character. I settled on a High Elf with the anticipation of mostly using a bow and magic as my offense. I also wanted to be very stealth if possible.

I chose to follow the Shadow stars which gives me the ability to turn invisible periodically. For my class, I leaned towards the Nightblade. But I then customized my class to match my character goals.

So now I’m focus on the bow and fire magic and keep hidden when possible. We’ll see how things go.
