Watermelon Planted

It’s 11:48pm and I just sat down inside. It’s dark outside… and cool. A light wind blowing. So I have little to complain about.

But I just finished digging up the small patch of area in my yard that I’ve been meaning to use for vegetables/etc. It stays full sun most of the day.

After working the dirt and compost and mixing in some Miracle Grow, I moistened the ground and put in a few Watermelon plants that I brought home today.

We’ll see how my little (late!) garden will turn out.

Open House and my Full Vehicle

I’m about to drive home to El Dorado. I’ve spent the weekend working at Pittman Nursery’s Annual Open House event.

Every year the nursery opens the wholesale grounds to the public for two days. Now that I work at Pittman Nursery Corporation, I’m working the weekend and not just enjoying the event.

But even working, it was a nice weekend.

Either way, I have a vehicle full of roses and other small plants… and a dogwood. And this isn’t all of it. I have to bring the rest of it back on another day.

It will be fun to get it all planted. Volunteers to help?
