Currently Listening To: Matchbox 20

My driving album for the next few is Matchbox 20, Yourself or Someone Like You
. Bringing back an oldie.

There's a ton of songs on this album that I've loved to play and listen to. They've been popular among my friends and bands that I've played with. This albums as many top hits. Most of the songs are well known. And in my opinion, the fact that Rob Thomas went solo is stupid. I don't like him solo. I don't like the band without him. I don't like there not being a Matchbox 20.

My golf games miss him.

I thought that I would give it a listen for a week or so. Just to bring some of that back.

Note: I added a commissioned link to Amazon's website where you can purchase a copy if you don't already have it in your library.

Rebekah’s Piano Concerto

Bekah's Piano Concerto

Rebekah's Piano Concerto

Rebekah loves to play on the piano. Often it's a series of random notes. Other times, we have to take a second look to be sure that she isn't actually playing off sheetmusic.

Either way, she loves to sit in front of the piano and play on it.

I took this shot while she was playing.

Rock Band 2

Rock Band 2

Rock Band 2

Guitar Hero is good, but being able to play with three other people is just so much more fun.

It's only the second time that I've been able to play a Rock Band game. I already love it. At first I did not like the idea of singing, like many I know... but something lures you in. Even if you don't know the song you can make it through using the on-screen lyrics and vocal/note guide.

I play guitar, so a lot of the guitar a bass parts feel natural, although I feel it's easier on an actual guitar. But my favorite part so far is the drums. I have a really good time on that instrument. I'm not very good at the real drums, and that's one of the great things about Rock Band (and a driving force behind the game). You can have fun playing an instrument that you're no good at. I can stay between 90-100% on a lot of songs on medium difficulty, which I'm happy with for now.

And singing, that's great too. ESPECIALLY when you DON'T know the song. ;)
